Design lead - interactive concept, webgl prototyping, ux/ui

As design lead in a small agile team, I was tasked to come up with visual concepts for the launch that would match the level of ambition of the ABBA Voyage show itself.

We employed an approach based on rapid prototyping in Figma, React, and WebGL, and continuous demo/feedback syncs with stakeholders.

We presented a unique set of UI components, structured in a smooth flow where users would acquire the relevant information and sign up to the newsletter, while getting hyped about the band’s long-awaited comeback.

The client requested a major overhaul of their entire website ecosystem. They were held back by overwhelming inconsistencies across multiple sites, and a weak brand communication in general.

Working in a highly agile process, keeping the client involved in the progress to speed up decision making, we started to construct a new coherent design system that would scale with their wide range of needs.

At launch, we had provided the client with a new company website, a fresh visual concept that would bring the company’s brand and its communication to the same level as their world leading technology.

2020

I lead the design team responsible for Bauer Media’s new podcast player app. We were tasked to create a consistent design system covering both web and mobile apps, in multiple languages.

Working closely with their frontend team, we developed and tested numerous prototypes and solved issues in an iterative manner.

In the end we delivered a full fledged design system that the client eventually adopted along with our design process, to implement in-house.

2021

In this start-up project, initiated by Utopia Architects, the client asked for an initial visual concept along with a limited MVP.

I worked out a simple but versatile design system, in close collaboration with the client. Reusing elements from Utopia’s own profile, we were able to cut a few corners and keep a fast pace.

When the project got funded, my team could efficiently build off of the initial concept, focusing the design work on creating the best user experience possible.

2023

This first title from Arctic Theory featuring some truly unique features around massive collaboration, creative building, and trading.

I was responsible for planning and providing a UI/UX design system for the engineering team. It served both as a placeholder during early prototyping and playtesting, and also gradually transformed into the main UI with finalized art direction.

In the end, I delivered a solid foundation for the game UI, that will help the team carry on the development for a game that will require near endless UI flows and views.

2016 -

Unyha is a personal project that’s been running for several years. It started out as an experiment to see if it’s possible to build a MMO solo in Unreal Engine.

A few years ago, Viktor Gustafsson joined the project and we changed direction to help support his PhD thesis.

After getting funded in 2022, through an incubator scholarship, we’ve started to repackage the project into a more polished game title. In this, I’m leading the UI design work and art direction.
